Water Use Efficiency Program
The Environmental Protection Agency is planning to promote greater use of water-efficient products and might establish a water-efficient products labeling program similar to the Energy Star program. According to EPA, 36 states expect to experience water shortages over the next ten years even without drought conditions. EPA's Water Use Efficiency Program web site currently contains information about water-efficient landscaping, water conservation case studies, and tips for using water wisely.
