On February 7-8, 2006, the Federal Electronics Stewardship Workgroup, the Office of Federal Environmental Executive, and the Federal Electronics Challenge co-hosted the 2nd Annual Federal Electronics Stewardship Conference at the General Services Administration Auditorium in Washington, DC. The conference drew close to 100 federal participants from 20 different agencies and was a great opportunity to exchange ideas about best practices in the acquisition, operations, and end-of-life management of electronics. Most participants came from federal facilities that are Federal Electronics Challenge (FEC) partners, and many of the agencies have signed the Federal Electronics Stewardship Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This event was a great success, as indicated by the average evaluation score of 4.3 (out of 5) given by conference participants.
